Pajti is located at the top of the market in Keszthely, which is actually a bistro, bar, café, but there is a weekly lunch offer, seasonal dinner and breakfast offer.
A cosy, sophisticated bistro next to the market in Keszthely. The bar and raised table have a raw brick base, modern paintings on the walls, green plants in several places. On their website, this witty text details the unclassifiability of the unit. “Pajti is located in the centre of Keszthely. Pajti is a bit different from the usual places. It originally started as a café, but over time has lost its way. The coffee is undoubtedly excellent, with both light and dark roasts available. There’s something special about it that’s unusual for a café. Perhaps the Pad Thai? Yes, they do indeed have Pad Thai. There is Pad Thai, although it’s not a Thai restaurant. We offer Thai dishes, but tortillas are also on the menu. Although there are tortillas, there is no fried meat. No fried meat, but there is a menu. There is a menu, because there is food. There is food, but it is not a restaurant. Pajti is Pajti!.”
Their food offerings include bagels, wraps, bowls, sushi from Nemszomszéd, Asian soups, Far Eastern inspired noodles made from rice noodles, udon and ramen noodles, and dishes categorized by the 3 times of day. If you arrive between 9am and 11am
you can choose from a variety of divine breakfasts, from 12pm to 4pm from the weekly changing lunch specials and from 5pm to close you can also choose from the periodically changing dinner specials alongside the a la carte menu.
The service is friendly, polite and well prepared.
They offer a good selection of local Hungarian wines, three craft beers in addition to the big ones, as well as quality soft drinks, extra cocktails/mocktails, homemade lemonades and juices. Specialty quality light and darker roast coffees are also available.
