The 1956 Revolution was not only one of the brightest and most painful moments of 20th-century Hungarian history but also an eternal symbol of the universal human desire for freedom. The courage born on the streets of Pest at that time went beyond the sound of gunfire and the shadow of tanks: it was a stand for human dignity, the shared heartbeat of a nation.
The exhibition “Angel, take a message about the miracle” commemorates this spiritual and historical legacy. The special artifacts of art collector Norbert Máday and the 1956 paintings of Zalán Kertai help us to evoke the era when hope and faith overcame fear.
Official Opening:
The collector, Norbert Máday, and municipal representative Dániel Barna will give speeches.
Performers: Students from the Életfa Elementary and Basic Art School.
The exhibition is open to the public from October 23, 2025, to November 22, 2025, during the opening hours of the Balaton Theater’s box office and during public events.
