The exhibition was opened by:
Dr. Irén Bilkei, historian, honorary director of the Zala County Archives of the Hungarian National Archives
What does attire mean? How does it differ from clothing/dress? Since when do we talk about folk costume? What fashion waves do we know from the past few hundred or thousand years? The chamber exhibition titled If fashion could talk… – Fashion Trends of the Past showcases artifacts selected from five different collections of the Balaton Museum in Keszthely.
Topics highlighted for presentation include – among others, personal care and body decoration practices – all of which are a way of self-expression and serve as tools for identifying and creating identity.
The exhibition can be visited until December 31, 2025.
