Introducing NemSzomszéd:

There is a place called Pajti. It all started there, small, with sushi – and it turns out the customers loved it – and Pajtis loved that they loved it!

So they had a bold idea: if there’s such a big appetite for it, why not open a sushi place of their own?

The new place is all about the flavours of Japan: fresh sushi, exciting cocktails, matcha wonders, and a little Asian shop with everything from buldak noodles to boba drinks.

A wide selection of sushi

NemSzomszéd is not just a sushi restaurant – it’s a taste journey. Appetizers like fresh wakame salad or crispy tempura prawns will whet your appetite, followed by the classics: miso and tom kha soups. The sushi is served by the masters in front of the guests. There is a whole gallery of nigiri and gunkan, full of salmon, tuna, prawns or even unagi. The world of maki also has it all: simple hoso maki, creative ura maki, and crunchy tempura maki such as panko ebi or tempura tamago. If you’re looking for something a little more pure, there’s the sashimi section. There are sets if it’s too hard to choose, and for dessert you can add a soft coconut roll for a sweet finish.

Main Square, pedestrian street just one step

Before a stroll through downtown Keszthely, you can start the afternoon with a good sushi and matcha at NemSzomszéd, which is practically next to the Main Square. From there, a straight path leads through the pedestrian zone to the city’s masterpiece, the Festetics Castle.

Parking

It’s worth parking in the car park at the bottom of the market and taking a pleasant walk to the top of the market, from there you’ll find NemSzomszéd a few metres to the right, just before the Pajti.

How to get there

By car from the Rákóczi street you should approach the parking lot of the market. But by foot it is easily accessible from the main square, if you walk along the pedestrian street or if you are hungry for a delicious sushi after having enjoyed the market in Keszthely.
