At the Main Square in Keszthely, Klassz Kultbistro is a tapas bar, coffee shop and contemporary culture center all in one.
The idea came from the Sziládi-Kovács couple – they wanted to create a cozy, friendly cultural community space, where they could welcome locals and tourists, as well as local and non-local writers, musicians and artists, support their work, organize cultural events: Klassz Kultbisztró has been a venue for book clubs, book presentations, literary evenings, acoustic concerts.
In the center of Keszthely they welcome visitors with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes, special coffees, local and Balaton wines, delicious cocktails and exciting books – they want everyone to feel at home and comfortable with them. Here we can sit down with a coffee, flip through magazines or chat with friends in a carefree atmosphere.
Keszthely Dog Park, Picnic Garden and Beach
The couple’s name is not unfamiliar to the people of Keszthely – since 2020 they have been running the Keszthely Dog Park, Picnic Garden and Beach, where many people, both Hungarians and foreigners, come. A cohesive team, returning guests, a tasteful cafeteria and of course dog-friendliness characterize the Keszthely dog beach, which Sziládi-Kovács Hajni and Tibi dreamed up for the city. Their regulars also requested that there be a place where they could gather even after summer, and where they could enter with their dogs without fear.
The Klassz Kultbisztró is therefore a dog-friendly place, but not only for that reason it is special. They only work with quality ingredients, and they also welcome their guests with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Balaton Circle
In 2023 they became members of the Balaton Circle. The nine-year-old association now has 55 members committed to the whole year Balaton season, quality hospitality and tourism services.
If we crave a good hummus, delicious Near Eastern dishes, or Italian dishes washed down with Balaton wines, Klassz Kultbisztró is a really great choice!
Parking
The easiest way to find a parking spot in the area is in the parking lot of the Keszthelyi városi piac, in front of the Fejér György Városi Könyvtár on Zeppelin Square, or in the Sörház utcai parking lot. Both parking lots are approximately 350 meters from the restaurant.
Approach
The Classy Kultbisztró is located at the Keszthely Main Square, so it is best to approach it on foot. If we have gone through the Festetics Castle and walked along the Promenade, we will find it on the right side beyond the pharmacy.
