It is not a fashion or a whim, as we could talk about in the case of many other nations, it is something else, much more personal. It passes through the heart and reaches the stomach, or maybe the other way around, but it doesn’t matter. Like a Latin lover, it caresses us and awakens burning desires at the same time. Original Mexican Recipes
A friendship born from a chance encounter led to the creation of the first Mexican restaurant in Transdanubia in 2003 in Keszthely. The founder of Los Amigos, the first owner, Ferenc Lőrincz, came into contact with Mexican boys in Vienna who soon introduced him to their grandparents. Data collection took weeks – the elders gave the Hungarian chef a glimpse into the real, traditional Mexican kitchen. As a result, at Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant, we are not greeted with the usual Latin American type of hospitality, but with the ingredients, spices, and tricks that are still served to the family table in Mexico. In addition, the gastronomic experience does not end with the dishes on the plates, the owners have created a truly authentic environment for guests with traditional accompaniments.
Ironed Chicken Breast and Fajita
Two dishes that make the Los Amigos kitchen famous far and wide.
The marinated chicken breast is seasoned with rosemary, served with potato wedges and grilled corn cob, and here comes the picture when the waiter with a hot red-hot antique iron in his hand irons the chicken breast at the table. He does this to make the rosemary taste even more intense. And the chemistry really works!
For the fajita presentation, a larger space is needed on the table, as a small Mexican-patterned braided basket arrives with the tortilla and a hot cast iron skillet, with divinely scented spiced, marinated meats and vegetables grilled with onion, pepper. served with avocado, tomato, sour cream, cheese, refried beans, and Mexican rice.

Parking
The easiest parking space in the area is in the parking lot of the Keszthely City Market, on Zeppelin Square in front of the Fejér György City Library or in the parking lot on Sörház Street. Both parking lots are about 350 metres from the restaurant.
Approach
The Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant is located on the Keszthely Main Square, so it is best to approach it on foot. After visiting the Festetics Castle and admiring the Promenade, turning left, we find ourselves in front of the Balaton Theater. Its terrace and pleasant Latin music make it easy to recognize.
