The Szente Guesthouse is located in the green belt of Keszthely, near the Libás Beach and the yacht marina, which is a popular area for both fishermen and cyclists.
The guesthouse is far from the hustle and bustle, so it offers a pleasant rest for those who crave peace. Fishermen can also be pleased to find that Keszthely’s most popular fishing spot is just a few steps away.
The guesthouse has 6 rooms, which can be divided into two apartments. The upstairs and downstairs apartments have separate entrances. On the ground floor of the apartment there is 1 separate room, 1 other room with a living room and kitchen, bathroom and shower. Guests can go out to their own terrace from the living room.
The upstairs apartments have 4 rooms, 3 showers and a kitchen with a dining area. 3 rooms have terraces. 8-9 guests can stay on the upper floor at the same time. The bathrooms opens from the corridor.
The kitchens are well equipped with pots and plates.
In the pre- and post-season, a separate apartment can be rented in the courtyard. It has 2 living rooms and a bathroom in the attic, and the kitchen is on the ground floor. The rooms have double beds for comfort.
The courtyard offers a garden seating area and grilling facilities for summer outdoor dinners, relaxation and conversations.
Fishing Opportunity
The nearby Libás strand is one of the most popular places for fishermen in Keszthely. Most of them swear by the grassy area next to the Pier. It is a soothing feeling to watch the most beautiful sailing boats and ships swimming in the Balaton landscape, while still a few fish can get caught on our hook.
For Cyclists
The Libás beach and the City Beach are connected by a bike path, which is part of the Balaton cycling route. If you arrive with your own bike, it’s just a 6-7 minute ride and you’re already at the Pier. Here you can take the Giant Wheel to get a view of the Balaton from a bit higher, or you can stroll along the pavilion row.
Parking
Parking is possible in the courtyard or in the private parking lot created in front of the house.
Approach
After the Gyenesdiás roundabout, turn left at the first street onto Semmelweiss Street and then turn right at the second street onto Ruszek József Street. The accommodation is easily recognizable by its red metal fence.
If approaching from Balatonszentgyörgy, go straight until you reach a roundabout, then take the second exit. Turn right after the Balaton Museum and continue on Mártírok Street. When you reach the train station, follow the railway line until the third railway crossing. Here, turn left onto Semmelweiss Street and then turn left at the fourth street. Follow Ruszek József Street until you reach the two-story house with the “Zimmer Frei” sign.
