Information Point, Bicycle Rental

The Energy Square and its surroundings are one of the busiest parts of Keszthely, as tourists heading to the beach, those arriving by boat and cyclists around Lake Balaton pass through here. Therefore, a tourist center and a bicycle information point have been set up in the middle of the square, where we can get information in Hungarian, English and German about events, sights, accommodation and catering establishments. We can also request a West-Balaton Card, maps, publications, there is the possibility of luggage storage, bicycle rental and internet connection.

Skateboarding and Ice-skating!

The area around the square functions as a skatepark for most of the year, where people can practice different tricks and stunts if they are interested in such sports. In winter, usually around the beginning or middle of December, an ice-skating rink is set up, which can be used for free by the public until the weather allows it. The rink has a diameter of 20 meters and a surface of more than 300 m2, and can accommodate up to 45 skaters at the same time. Additional services include sharpening, a warm-up room, a cafeteria, a restroom, and skate rental.

Environment of the Energy Square

In the immediate vicinity of the square is the water playground, which is popular among children, where they can spend their time meaningfully during the summer season. Next to it is the Pavilion Row, where we can find everything from beach goods vendors to restaurants and ice cream parlors in one place. The Pavilion Row leads to the City Beach and the promenade. Here, from May to the end of September we can sit on one of the country’s largest giant wheel, go boating on Lake Balaton, and a playground awaits the children.
