Family-Friendly Beach

Many people, primarily families, choose this beach, which is popular among families with small children due to its shady, peaceful, sandy section, not to mention its playground. The older ones are looking forward to mini-soccer, volleyball court, ping-pong table, and the water pedal boats is a favorite of all ages. The beach facilities and services include toilets, changing rooms, cabins, showers. Thanks to the fact that the beach is located in the vicinity of a sailing marina, we can enjoy a real “Balaton” panorama when sunbathing and see sailing boats sailing out.

An interesting factWe are going to Libás- if we are not locals or don't know Keszthely, we will surely look strange and perhaps the last thing we think of when we hear the word "Libás" is swimming. The beach used to operate as a free beach, before that they swam geese here, hence the name Libás - Geese beach.

Admission ticket

Discount tickets can be purchased at the beach, we can swim with a 50% discount after 17:00.

Approach and Parking

The beach is located a bit further from the city center, but good news for those arriving by car is that parking is free in the vicinity. There is a paved parking lot at the western entrance of the beach, near the marina, and at the eastern entrance of the beach. There is also a guarded bike storage at the beach.

Meal

It may happen that after a lot of playing, swimming and beach time we get hungry, here we can also find snack bars where we can satisfy our appetite.

Our favoriteThe Taste-shore harbor restaurant is located next to the beach and welcomes guests who want to dine directly on the shores of the Lake Balaton from May to November. During the summer season, it pleases its guests with various musical styles, Latin, country-blues evenings and concerts.

Beach Library

If you’ve been swimming and you just want to relax and read something in the sun, but you didn’t bring any books, don’t worry! The Fejér György Public Library has set up a bookcase on the beach, so you can browse through the books in there.
