Nostalgia Museum
The Nostalgia Museum presents us the objects surrounding the everyday life of the last century, which helps us to better understand how the 20th century people lived.
In the Simon House of Keszthely, where Miss Hungary and Miss Europe winner, Simon Böske once lived, today there is the Nostalgia Museum, which revives the era of Hungarian beauty. The museum has an exhibition of antiques and furniture, where even the ceiling is covered with old pictures, posters and paintings. Those who are interested in the science of the last century can visit Dr. Liposits Elemér’s memorial room, which reconstructs the doctor’s office.
Nostalgia Museum
In the museum we can see the collection of antiques collected by Tibor Túri Török over many years, which gives us insight into the lives of our ancestors. In the showcases we find everyday objects (razor, pomade, rouge, “Camping” coffee maker) and the technical achievements of the last century (coal-fired collar iron, flint firelighter, music cylinders of vurlicers, projectors operated by gas flame).
“Awesome! The most fun and best museum I have ever seen. Entertaining and everyone can find themselves in it!”

Gaudy Room
If we have had enough of today’s minimalist, clean decorative objects and we crave something cute, fluffy, or lace-like, preferably made of porcelain, then we cannot miss the Gaudy Room of the Nostalgia Museum! The many small objects evoke the summers spent with our grandparents, when from every corner of the room a little Swiss porcelain child or a chubby angel watched us.
Dr. Elemér Liposits Memorial Room
The room is a replica of the former chief physician’s office of Dr. Elemér Liposits, known in Keszthely only as “the doctor of the poor”. In the memorial room we can see what tools the doctors of the time used to examine and treat their patients. On the small table we can see objects that are still familiar today, such as stamps, practice boards and prescription pads.
Approach, Parking
The Nostalgia Museum is located in the city center, accessible from the Promenade. Parking is possible in the Zeppelin Square car park, in front of the Fejér György City Library.
