The History of the Theatre
The first theatre in Keszthely was built after 1910 in the secession style and also served as the city’s cinema. Later its function changed and its appearance was no longer the same. Finally, in the early 2000s it was renovated according to the plans of Csaba Csontos, in a way to evoke the original building and also fit into the cityscape. The facade of the building is enriched by the reliefs of Imre Schrammel. Especially beautiful in the spring, during the flowering of the Japanese cherry trees in front of the building.
Access and Parking
The Theatre is located in the central part of the city, at the Main Square. If we arrive by car, we can use paid parking in the nearby streets.
