Castle Garden
If we are in Keszthely's Main Square, it is worth taking a detour to the Castle Garden, which, besides being one of the most atmospheric corners of the city, also has historical significance. It is also a great location for those arriving with children for leisure activities due to its playground.

Magical Castle Garden
In the heart of Keszthely there is a fairytale-like place, which is better known by the locals than by the visitors. A small lake with water lilies. If we rest on the benches by the lake, we can admire the gothic walls of the main square church from an unknown side for us. But if we are observant, we can notice that the church is not the only sight! Next to the huge building, although they are dwarfed, those “ruins” have even greater significance, which are the foundations of a chapel bearing the name of Saint Lawrence, built in the 11th-12th centuries.
In the Castle Garden we can also find a World War memorial and there is also a playground – if we come with a child. This corner of Keszthely is beautiful in every season, in spring and summer the lake is in fairy rose, in autumn we can collect colorful leaves, in winter we can admire the frozen little lake.
