The Illés Guesthouse in Keszthely is a hundred-year-old bourgeois villa located near the Helikon Park, equally distant from the City and Libás beaches.
The villa is surrounded by a romantic, large grassy shady garden. The classic form of the building suggests comfort and security.
We enter the old beautiful villa through a glazed veranda. The spacious ground floor rooms with their unusually high ceiling, their high coffered windows create a unique atmosphere. The external appearance of the old bourgeois building is made more youthful by the most modern furniture and equipment. In summer, the 3-4 meter high ceiling always provides a pleasantly cool feeling, even in the hottest heat. The windows of the rooms face the street and the garden.
The upstairs rooms, with their modern interiors, radiate cleanliness and comfort. Each room has a small bathroom. The furnishings of the rooms, with their wide beds, comfortable armchairs, TV, satisfy all comfort needs.
Homely Guest House
The family atmosphere of the guest house is enhanced by the fact that the rooms and communal spaces have been designed as if we were in a family home. Its kitchen, furnished with Bonanza furniture, provides warmth, comfort and a homely atmosphere. We can have breakfast either in the kitchen or in the spacious veranda. The host welcomes his guests every day with a delicious and abundant breakfast and is available all day for their requests. His helpfulness provides security to the tourists who come here to stay.
Close to Nature
Spending the whole day, but especially in the evening, in the garden is a pleasant experience, where grapevines, fruit trees, comfortable garden chairs and sunbeds create a cozy, family atmosphere in summer. In the spacious garden, children can play safely in the fresh air, while we can enjoy a refreshing drink at the garden table. If we feel like taking a walk, the area is full of beautiful places like the Lake Balaton shore, or the Helikon park. The bike path can be reached in a few minutes, so it is perfect for bicycle tours in the in the Keszthely Mountains.
Parking
Separate parking spaces have been created in Csokonai Mihály Street behind the guesthouse for the guests. These can be accessed through the small back garden gate.
Approach
If we arrive to Keszthely from Gyenesdiás, turn left onto Semmelweiss Street and then right at the fourth intersection onto Zámor Street. Go straight until the road turns into Móra Ferenc Street. The villa is at the beginning of Móra Ferenc Street.
From Balatonszentgyörgy, take Festetics György Street and then Kossuth Street to reach the center of Keszthely. Turn right at the Balaton Museum onto Mártírok Street until you reach the tracks, then follow the railway until you reach a fork. At the fork turn left onto Lovassy Sándor Street and then right at the first opportunity onto Móra Ferenc Street, where the guesthouse is located.
